Day : 1 Arrive Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel for a stay of three nights. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day : 2 Excursion to Agra

Today, embark on an excursion to the Mughal city of Agra. The highlights include an exciting early morning ride on the express train to Agra and back; a visit to the Agra Fort and the enchanting Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), the epitome of love built in marble by Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The gardens of the Taj boast of some of the finest flora planted by the Mughals. The excursion of Agra is complete with a visit to Mehtab Bagh, one of the beautiful gardens of the Mughals where you will enjoy tea admiring the Taj Mahal from across the River Yamuna.


Day : 3 In Delhi

Morning, explore the highlights of Imperial and Mughal Delhi, which includes the Humayun's Tomb. Built in 1560, the tomb was commissioned by Humayun's senior widow thus inaugurating a series of grand Mughal Tombs, introducing the concept of the char bagh (four garden) system, with the main mausoleum in the centre of the garden, with paved walkways dividing the garden into four parts. Continue to visit the Qutab Minar, the victory tower built in the early 13th century, a masterpiece of perfect proportions. The tour ends with a visit to the beautiful Lodhi Gardens. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day : 4 To Naldhera

Today you will travel by an early morning express train to Kalka in the foothills of the Himalayas. On arrival in Kalka, enjoy a short journey through the hills on the unique Toy Train operated by a steam engine, winding up through the mountains, thickly forested with pines, spruce and cedars catching a glimpse of the routine activity at the charming wayside stations en route. Alight at one of the picturesque stations and proceed by surface to Naldhera for a stay of three nights.

Day : 5 In Naldhera

The day begins with a leisurely walk through the 100 year old picturesque Naldhera Golf Course, enjoying a peek into some of the private gardens en route. Rambling through the woods, you will arrive at the private residence of Col. Dewan and Neelam Dewan for lunch. Following a leisurely lunch, return to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day : 6 In Naldhera

Today you explore the beautiful village of Mashobra, including a visit to some of the notable private gardens with lunch. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day : 7 To Shimla

Today you will proceed to the colonial summer capital Shimla. The journey begins with a walk through Talai -open meadows famous for the annual bull fairs; past an ancient temple and through Maharaja Faridkots property to the quaint Carignano, an old Italian rest house built by Count Carignano. The walk continues through the forest with some of the finest views of the valley, terminating at a private garden where you will enjoy light refreshments with the owner. Continue by road to the Wildflower hall for lunch. Following lunch, your journey continues to Shimla, where on arrival you will check into your hotel for a stay of three nights. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day : 8 In Shimla

Following breakfast, explore the treasures of Shimla, beginning with the splendid Vice Regal Lodge and its mini Botanical gardens exhibiting some of the most unique and beautiful plants specific to the region. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Eastbourne Hotel, locally popular for its beautiful garden. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day : 9 In Shimla

The day is at leisure for you to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, or you have the option of visiting the Mall, lower bazaar, walking past the colonial buildings and ending the tour at ‘Chapslee', the private heritage property of the Royal family of Kapurthala. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch with one of the family members (subject to availability). This evening, you will be guests at a private garden residence for tea where you will have the opportunity to interact with local residents.

Day : 10 To Delhi

This morning, you will proceed on a picturesque drive to Kalka, en route enjoying a stop in quaint little town of Kasauli for lunch. At Kalka, you will board your express train to Delhi, where on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day : 11 Depart Delhi

Transfer to the airport for your international flight back home.
